to stay at the top in academic team,
-know your roman numerals
-read the newspaper, and watch the news, often questions are current events
-know the presidents and the years they served, also, what wars were going on, and what "big" thing happened during each of their terms?
-know how to find area and perimeter of geometric figures
-study SAT vocabulary word lists
-BIOLOGY, that's usually a big thing.
-know the body systems, and the diseases that accompany them
-subscribe to History channel.Com's today in history e-mail chain, very useful for historical randomness
-know famous painters and their eras.
-geography, rivers, mountains, lakes, seas, and CAPITALS
-learn the leaders of foreign countries, past and present
-go find random facts on the web..you never know what they are going to ask!
-also, read the classics, "Little Women", "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Fahrenheit 451", "Scarlet Letter", those are very important
-know some Shakespeare...questions on his work is always being asked
-learn British terms for words, pitch=soccer field, chips= french fries. really random things
basically, go out there, know what you do, and answer what you can. there is NO way to really know what to expect. you just have to take whatever is served and do the best you can with it.
