you're not labeling it by yourself, they will have your luggage labeled at the check-in desk to the closest destination possible to yours being not all airlines provide luggage connection service for flight connection.

For example if you are going from kennedy Int'l to London (Heathrow) and then off to let's say Amsterdam, and you are flying with the same company it's possible to have your luggage labeled to your final destination, if you are changing airlines u cannot do that and do not put 2 tags on it, that's stupid cause they won't know where to send your luggage.

If I'm going to be in the other country for a while, I put my destination address on the tag; I also put a note on the tag "itinerary inside." Then I leave a large note inside the bag listing my whole intinerary, including my home address.

the megabus runs a coach from manchester to london victoria from as little as £5, i booked a month in advance and paid £15 return, it dosent take you to heathrow though it stops at london victoria but with the money you save you could get a coach from victoria to heathrow best of luck and it is really worth checking out the megabus website as its more than half the price as national express

Do not put any address on your luggage. Put a "check" mark on it, e.g. a string of beads or something that will let you know it is yours when you arrive. Unless you are planning on moving out to the country in question, I'd not put anything valuable in my checked baggage anyway

Manchester > Final destination.

Don't forget - DON'T put your home address anywhere visible on the outside - hide it in the case.
