Does anyone know of a good FREE avi to dvd converter?

I have a whole bunch of awesome avi files that I want to watch on my TV. My DVD player doesn't read avi, so I need a TOTALLY FREE program that isn't a trial and doesn't leave a watermark. If possible include directions on how to use it. Thanks! It also needs to be pretty fast cuz I have like 52 ones I want to convert.
