I am restoring a 71 beetle and I cant seem to find any yards that have parts I am looking for in Oklahoma.

Well I cant give you a direct answer (California here) but the problem is somewhat universal. Try these universal solutions:
Used: Craigslist for your local area (www.craigslist.org)
eBay: Sometimes expensive when freight is added in, but you can at least look at the item via photos. (www.ebay.com)
New: JC Whitney (www.JC Whitney.com)
Airhead (www.airhead.com I think)
