I guess I'd like to end the growing 'shadow hours' on a warm note. Has anything really touched you from another's faith or presence or words that you'd like to comment about? Many blessings!

I personally think you are very intellectually and philosophically inspiring. You inspired me the other day to buckle down and quit drinking and smoking cigarettes with your answer to my question about why its never too late to become humble and healthy. Today my friend uptown who runs an amazing music store inspired me by actually being interested in the things I do since he is totally skeptical about everything. It inspired me to write this song which is a lesson for all the people that bash women with their music/lyrics in order to be cool. These are the lyrics:
----------------------------------------------------------
"I'd Rather Destroy Music than Women"
by Thy Holy Warriors

It was fun for awhile, after all the games you played her.
But you'll never have the time as long as you forbid yourself from forever.
Now to love them all was never the problem: to end your score at 1...
Uneternal Love afraid of being alone; fear fiddles with you but who are you afraid of?
Women, you'll never be #1 to the average player.
Under-mind the scoreboard and become a savior.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(the music is totally incoherent to this song!)

Sure, I believe in raising the dead even today. It has been done in this day and age. But could I do it? Not now. I think it takes a very close walk with the Lord in order to accomplish such miracles. Like fasting and praying quite a bit. I know of a pastor who fasts for 40 days every year at the beginning of the year. Oral Roberts brought a baby back from the dead, and maybe others too. I read about one in China who was raised from the dead after committing suicide and he was so happy to be back by the power of God he accepted Christ right away. Another in Africa was raised from the dead after being dead 3 days. He was in the morgue when he started showing signs of life. His wife had been praying earnestly for him to recover.

Yes. Many times...
But one that is very special to me, and resent is the story
I will tell now. Two weeks ago I want to Mexico. I was staying at a missionary friends home where they practice communal living. One day while there, I was feeling the real deal type depression. So I took a walk. When I came back one of the guys ( whom I didn't know previously ) noticed and started to just be nice and listen to my problems. Afterward he gave me a hug and said a genuine 'I love you' to me.
I know it doesn't seem like much..but to me it was everything.
It was so refreshing, so well heavenly.

His a Christian, I a Buddhist.

I heard a story yesterday, but will include it as it did touch me.

There was this young boy, who had had a difficult childhood, he was still only around the age of 8 yrs. He was older than the other kids in his class, as he had been keep back a few years. His mother and father had beaten him, his house had been burn't to the ground, he had nothing and nobody. His parents had abandoned him for there life of "freedom" and all that wrecks house and home.
He had lived with a neighbour for years and she had only taken him in because she was paid some money to do so.
He was alone in the world other than this woman, no family, no parents, brothers. sisters, or friends even.

The teacher stood in front of the class and told the children how she was going to be bringing her baby in to class from today and each week, for them to learn about babies, and their needs. She stood in front, babe in arms, and shared how the baby a little girl, cute as a button, didn't find it easy to settle and did not snuggle.
She told how she felt as a mother of this little baby, and how it hurt her heart that she could not seem to get the baby to "relax" and allow herself to "snuggle" into her.

The boy raised his hand, and asked, please miss, may I try. The teacher placed the baby in his arms, and he curved his arm around her back, and rocked gently side to side while he sat on the floor in the class room.
The baby cooed, the boy beamed, the sight was to behold, this young boy, with his mohawk "tough" haircut, sitting, legs straight out, with his arms cradled around this wee baby, rocking. The baby snuggled in and allowed herself to relax into the boys arms.

He looked up, his face alight. "Miss, miss" he asked tentatively. "Do you think you can be a good father if you have never been loved"

God is Gracious

I attend a Presbyterian Church. However, I saw an add for a Baptist Church in the paper today that took my breath away. There was a guy standing on a cliff in Jeans and a T with a ball cap. He had his hands held high facing the other way. The caption read, "Be It / Live It / Tell It"
Join us and let's Be like Christ, Live like Christ and Tell about Him to others.

Possibly - but I try NOT to judge people based solely on their faith (or lack of).

But from my personal experience - ANYONE who places their faith in FRONT of any action that they perform is ONLY doing something for some self-serving purpose...

There are many nice people of other and no faiths. There is much good.

In the new system, people are going to get a chance to "correct their homework" and learn. Eternal death is only for the really deep deliberately wicked. Very few got that.

So who would you like to meet and talk to or write to in the righteous new earth?

Well it was not in a positive way so I really do not think that I should comment on it.
Thankfully MY Christian friends set a better example than what I witnessed today

The person who asked how god could take her (his?) son only after 11 days of living. I really feel for that person. I almost lost my daughter at birth and I know people who have lost babies. Its touch.
