Of course not!
You are being very kind, thoughtful and extremely respectful.
Hand made gifts are wonderful and Jewish Stars are too.
Now if only all Jewish - Christian relations were wonderful like you and your friends.

Your gift would be a lovely gesture!
Actually, the "star" of David isn't a star, but a shield. The "magen David" is the shield of David.
In the 1st Book of Maccabees, you can read that when the Jews restored the Temple after it was violated by the pagan oppressors, the Jews hung golden shields and wreaths on the front of the Temple.

I think the person that you are going to give something. It is about what they want ,if it is a Star of David give them one. I agree that Christ was Jewish so no problem with a Star of David.

No; it is not disrespectful to give such a gift. The simple fact that you are asking before giving it shows that you are thoughtful & considerate. A very nice gift idea! I, too, have a silver one given to me by some Christian friends many years ago & I still treasure it.
May you have a wonderful Holiday Season!

I think it is a lovely thought. My best friend for 52 yrs, when we were young teens got me a charm for my bracelet which was a Star of David and I cherish it to this day. I got her a cross on her 16th birthday, She is Catholic. Our religions have never changed our friendship, and I think she would be thrilled to get a gift like that.

It is a very nice gift. How could you even think of it being disrespectable as it would be the exact opposite. I wish there were more people in the world like you!!! If more could repect other people's faith as you do, the world would be a better place.

Not disrespectful at all--I received a lot of Jewish themed jewelry at my Bat Mitzvah form non-Jews and did not feel offended in any way, in fact I was even more appreciative that they went out of there way to get me some thing they would not normally buy!

If its not wrapped in a pound of ham, why not?
A gift is a gift. its the INTENTION of the giver that is important, not the gift itself.
(Yes, I'm Jewish)

On the contrary - that's a VERY nice gift! And hand-made is even nicer :-) I think it's a very good choice.
