16yrs and got 1st Interview?

Question

I am 16yrs old and have got an interview for saturday job tomorrow in local pharmacy, but very nervouse of what they may ask. Any hints advice etc?

Just try to relax and be yourself. They wont be expecting someone with all the answers at 16 they will just want to know that you are trustworthy, punctual, hardworking and honest. Im sure you will do just great. Be cool. Good luck.

Hey listen, All this stuff is great advice, but from someone who started working in healthcare at your age, I would add this:

You'll probably get to meet and/or interview with the Pharmacist and you need to stress to him/her that you're all those things that the rest of these folks are saying but also more importantly that you are willing to learn. Something you might want to bring up in your interview is where you are trying to go with your life/career, like college, etc. and that you are looking for that chance to learn something and gain experience.

When I was 17 I had a physician take a chance on me because I told him that I wanted to know the inn's and out's of his practice, he gave me a job organizing medical records and typing--and here I am 9 years later starting medical school next fall.

Be yourself
Listen to the questions you are asked.
Answer clearly, not too quickly
Be polite, smile.

Remember the pharmacy wants someone customers will like.
Don't be pushy.

Ask some questions to show you are interested. Like - What will I be expected to do? Sound interested.

Dress well, use complete sentences, and you'll be fine. They aren't expecting you to know what Rhinocort is used for. Also come up with a few (non salary / benefit) questions to ask yourself, because they will most likely give you an opportunity to do so. Ask things like, "Is this a new position or will I be replacing someone?" or "What is the busiest time of day" or "When I'm not busy, will I be able to study at work?" Don't ask things like "When will I be up for a raise" or "Can we close up early on Saturday night?"
