God isn't telling you anything- some Roman or whatever decided to write their opinions down. There is no God, sorry.

Dedicate yourself now - while you are still young and able to accomplish things with your life - to serving God. Because if you wait until you are old, there will be too many "troubles" and distraction and issues in life for you to accomplish what God wants.
Like much of Ecclesiastes, being poetry, the language is very flowery and imaginative (grasshoppers dragging themselves and the like). But it simply means build the habit of obedience while you are still young.

Just that life without God produces loney, bitter and hopeless old age. A life centered around God is fulfilling- it will make the "difficult days"- when disabilities, sickness and handicaps cause barriers to enjoying life- because of the hope of eternal life. But also, the excitement of youth can provide a barrier to closeness with God, if it makes young people focus on passing pleasures instead of eternal values. Make your strength available to God while it is still yours-during your youthful years- dont waste it on evil or meaningless activities that becaome bad habits and make you callous.

There is little to no joy in old age, and nothing is accomplished after dying. So, remember God while there is still life to enjoy; because that is what the Kingdom of God is about -- the joy of life (John 10:10).

Quite simply God wants you to come to him while you are young, before the evil of old age and illness makes sinning no longer palatable. He wants you to give up sin while young, and serve him while you are still youthful and vibrant.

The reason you were created is to worship Jesus Christ. This is true for every person.

If god was trying to tell us something, don't you think we would first need proof of his/her/its existance before being able to understand what the hell he/she/it is saying?
