If you want to get "fancy" you could dice up peppers and onions and put them in the beef , then reshape the patties, along with your garlic powder or as someone mentioned earlier salt and pepper. I personally like Goya's Adobo, although there are many "flavors" now.

I make my own steak seasoning and use it for burgers too. Granulated Garlic - Black and White Pepper - Season All - just a little salt - and just a little powdered cumin. Some people also use bread crumbs and finely diced onions as a filler and to make the burgers juicy

When I make turger burgers, i put the ground meat, bread crumbs, finely chopped onions, an egg, seasoning salt, sometimes italian seasoning, and believe it or not, my boyfriend likes to put bacon bits in them. And i usually crumble the cheese up and mix it with the other ingredients so there is cheese throughout.

If you're making up your own meat mixture then you might want to consider adding some worcestershire sauce to the mix. When I make up my burgers I include: egg, garlic powder, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, minced onion, worcestershire sauce, Italian bread crumbs, and finely chopped rosemary. Yum!

Lipton Onion soup mix always flavors them up good. Also a little fresh ground pepper, and a dash of ketchup.
