My 3yro has came down with a full body rash as of yesterday. the rash looks like a really bad sunburn( the kind that blisters) with huge blisters and swelling of the area the rash is on. I took him to the er last night and they told me he was having an allergic reaction to something but we havent changed anything at home or daycare. the rash started out looking like chicken pox at 2:30 pm and by 7:30 was covering him from scalp to foot. Benadryl seems to help but the rash keeps returning just as bad as before. he also has a fever that refuses to break that started 4 days before this rash, is it truly just an allergic reaction or is it more? the docs where i live are back woods hicks who only want the money and dont like to bring in outsiders. Can someone help me?

sry forgot to mention tylonol for the fever , oatmeal baths and calamine lotion to help with the itching. We have taken him to the emergency room. The blisters are more like welts than blisters, actually. It goes away with diphenhydramine (benadryl), but it keeps coming back.

also he likes to pour water on the carpet and while we do try to clean it up we cant get all of it , would this be causing the rash due to mold or mildew?

Most likely diagnoses include scarlet fever and staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome. Both are serious when untreated. Get medical attention for him today, ASAP.

Allergic reactions with blisters are relatively uncommon, but they do occur, and this form of allergic reaction is also serious.

if it is measels or chiken fox, nothing can be done.u have to wait for 3 or 5 days. all these days the fever will be more with cough and cold. we wont apply any lotion because it will agravate more. the sparys of other peopel and room sprays
too should be avoided as it will agravate more in ur sons body. since the digest power is less liquid dieting is advisable with less salt. to make body cool we ll give coconut water. we ll use neem leaves as fan because teh wind from neem leaves will cure the rashes. daily bath is not advisable.
we have to wait for 5 to 7 days then it will automatically shrink
if all the rashes shrinks and when no new rashes coming out
the child can take bath. alternate day for 3 to 5 times.
it will automatically fell off from thebody.mean time u can
get some medicne from doctor to reduce fever. the other kids in the house to be separated from the infected kid.
after the complete cure the bed linen etc should be washed

In addition to oral benadryl, you should be doing tylenol or ibuprofen on a regular basis for the fever (dose him according to his weight only). Rashes with huge blisters are very unusual in children and I would consider getting him to a dermatologist quickly who can probably give you the answers you need. It could be an allergic reaction but it could be lots of other things too. For your child's comfort, I think I would be taking him to a dermatologist soon.
