Iams is one of the worst dog foods out there. It is full of garbage and junk. I would not feed my dogs that crap even if it was the last food on earth.

High quality foods: Timberwolf Organics, Merrick, Canidae, Innova, Evo, Wellness...

How much are you feeding her? There are guidelines on the back of the bag but if your dog is hungry give her more. I asked my vet about this just a few weeks ago because my 7 month old is a little piglet! He said its fine to leave food out all the time and let her eat however much she wants, she's growing and needs lots of energy to do so. My vet also said that we'll worry more about her weight after she's a year old and cut back the food if need be, but I can tell you she's already stopped eating so much, I think she was just going through a growth spurt at 6 months. Good Luck!

I BEG you, do not give your dog those "crappy" name brand foods. Try feeding her Evo. Its not too expensive and its good. Feed her 3 times a day, and 1 cup each time. Since she is a puppy and she is small, I would leave her food down all the time, so free-feed. I hope you are familiar with hypoglycemia, its when small dogs are hungry and dont get food right away, their blood pressure can drop severely. When that does happen, you are suppose to have some kind of sweet (honey or maple syrup) put it on your finger and put it on their gums.

dont over feed her, dogs always seem hungry, they can constantly beg and seem like theyre starving. Just keep her on a steady diet, i suggest you maybe give her a meal in the morning, a small meal a little bit after noon, and then same size as breakfast dinner meal...but don't start giving in to everything she wants or she will get heavier and lose her health sooner...try kibbles...but try to stay away from the mushy or liquidy food because most of it is from china and somebody i know just gave their dog one can and its now severely sick...she doesnt know if her dog will survive...hope i helped =)

She is a growing girl. Just feed her smaller meals and more often. Like you do a child. Their tummy need food. She'll taper off later. Just don't let her get fat......as we all know it is easier to put it on than take it off. There are a lot of puppy foods on the market, Get her something she can chew to do her teething. Not pigs ears, they can cause some stomach and intestine problems. I hope you little angel isn't as hardheaded as mine was.

My APBT is the same way. If you keep putting food out for her, she will eat herself sick. The normal amount of food for a Yorkie pup is 1/4 cup, twice a day.

Here is a website that may be helpful.

Make sure your vet has checked for parasites and that she is getting the recommended quantity of the food your are giving her. Other than that she is just being a puppy. You could try spacing her food and treats out over the course of the day to see if it helps her.

Many times, animals will overeat if food is made available to them. This can have several causes, with smaller breeds, more frequently, boredom. Make certain you have plenty of chew toys available, and check on your bag of food - there should be recommendations for amount of food. As long as she appears to be a healthy weight, then she's not eating out of hunger.

i do not get why actually everyone appears telling you it truly is atypical or to grant him cereal. A) he's purely 3 months so no cereal yet. B) like you stated....boom spurt! My son eats 6oz each 3hrs & frequently naps for like 20min at a time some circumstances an afternoon (yeah, that sucks!). yet he is going to sleep round 9:30 or 10pm & sleeps till 7-8am. nicely the basically top 2 days he's been eating his 6oz each 3hrs yet some circumstances in the course of the day he's annoying 2-4oz in between. He also has taken 2 4 hour naps. he will then fall asleep round 8pm, awaken at 11pm to devour back & then he's been up round 5am to devour back. So he's completely no longer being himself, yet I comprehend it truly is a boom spurt & i'm confident it is going to start up a sparkling section in his eating/dozing conduct. i could basically feed your toddler what he needs, perchance attempt to grant him a touch extra in his bottle. optimistically it is going to pass & if no longer, perchance your dr will recommend cereal at 4 months. some do. also, countless little ones which have gas will act like they're hungry in reality playing a merciless trick on Mommy. they are not truly hungry, yet will take the bottle even if it truly is basically gas. then you overfeed them & viola! extra gas! next time he begins fussing & it truly is purely been 2 hours, attempt to burp him, try "bicycling" his legs, rubbing his abdomen & gas drops. That too may be the problem. If no longer...boom spurt! p.s. when I placed my toddler on the formula for gas/fussiness it made his gas & fussiness worse!! the purely element that worked for me changed into the formula thickened w/ rice.
