My girlfriend hates beer, but says she can't afford to drink mixed drinks all the time and is always trying beers and says they still taste too strong. Is there a really light, really easy to drink beer out there?

PS: She thinks that Coors Light, Miller Lite and Bud Light are all too "heavy."

Bud Ice.

It's not the easiest to find, but it's super cheap.
It's super light--goes down like water.

As an added bonus it also has a higher alcohol content than regular beer so it should get your girlfriend to the desired "buzz" stage on less beers.

The highlight is that you can occassionally find it on tap and get a pitcher for under $8.

Huh. I can agree with Bud Light being too heavy, and I think Coors Light tastes "peppery". So I drink Miller Lite which to me is the lightest watery beer out there. However, either Miller or Michelob makes an ultra-light to the last of my knowledge, maybe she could try those out?

Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat. I would suggest any of Lindeman's Lambic beers the have cherry, raspberry, apple and a few others but you stated that she is worried about cost.

Try Hoegaarden, it is a nice light wheat beer. Most women I know love it. I recommend a slice of orange over lemon, brings out more of the flavor.

abowtie:
What? Chimay is Belgium and if she thinks bud light is to heavy drinking Chimay would be like a punch in the face.

Try Corona light. Regular Corona is pretty light already (some people call it a girl's beer) and the lime should help the taste. One of the few beers I'm able to drink without having food with it.

Try a beer that's fruitier with less hops. Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss is decent, as is Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. A white beer is also a good choice.

Have her try Michelob Ultra. It is smooth and refreshing. It also doesn't have as many calories as some of the other beers. I like it nice and chilled especially on a hot day or when I've been out dancing.

Ive never heard of that theory. A cold domestic beer is about as refreshing as it gets. After a softball game, out on the golf course, or at a cookout, light beer is always refreshing COLD.

Right! Mexican beer, like Corona, is an easy to drink pilsner beer. Also, try Dos XX, Tecate, or even Irish Smithwick's!
