I had an associate some time ago recommend to me that when I visit Paris I stay in the French Officer's club/museum/hotel (also open to Officer's of allies - I'm a U.S. Army Officer). I wasn't smart enough to keep the business card of the place and now that I plan to go I am having no luck "googling" it. Does anyone know the official name for this establishment? Thanks!

The official name is "Cercle National Des Armees" (National Officers' Club of the Armies) and it is located at 8 Place Saint-Augustin in Paris, across the street from the Church of Saint Augustine. Rates are about EUR 140 a night for the deluxe apartment. Telephone number is: 011-33-1-4490-27-00.

Contrary to internet information, I, as a retired U.S. officer, was told by the Cercle National Des Armees reservationist that membership in a reciprocal club, citing the Army-Navy Club in D.C. was required. Strangely enough, the Union Jack Club in London had a reciprocal agreement, but it does not allow officers to join, yet the Victory Service Club in London is only for officers, but doesn't have a reciprocal agreement with the French Officers Quarters.
