First, I agree with you completely, but I'm going to go one better: how can any of us even begin to judge any belief system? As a Christian, I believe that God operates on a level that I could never even begin to comprehend as a human being. His wisdom and knowledge is simply too vast! Even if I read about every religion known to man, I would not have the knowledge or wisdom to say "that is correct", or "that is wrong" because I can't possibly know the heart or mind of God. To think that I did would be very arrogant of me. As you said, our beliefs can't be proved. We have to have faith and live the way we truly believe to be right and let God sort it out in the end.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe you picked the Christian religion! How did I know that was coming?
Actually, Christians DO look at other religions and compare them.
Christianity claims it's superiority because it offers a way to salvation that requires NO work on the part of the person being saved. All other religions require their followers to earn their way to heaven. It is the only religion whose main 'prophet' actually claims to be God. All other religions either have multiple gods with limited powers, or claim and worship a prophet who has only the power of wisdom. It is the only religion that will accept anyone, regardless of anything they may have done, or will do, regardless of where they came from, what they look like, or what religion they were born to. All other religions can reject you based upon any human terms it's current leaders feel like today. It is the only religion that makes the correct assumption about human nature and deals with it as it must be dealt with - human nature is essentially to tend toward evil, and can not be made good (or pure) without assistance from God. All other religions begin from the incorrect assumption that people are either basically good (and have to work to do bad things, have bad thoughts) or that they actually have the capacity to earn their way to heaven.
Furthermore, just as a generalization, all people claim superiority of all their beliefs. If they didn't, wouldn't they believe something else?

Not all religions claim superiority. Judaism for instance, teaches that moral people of all faiths will have a place in heaven, so long as they live an ethical life here on earth. We don't believe we are the 'only' way nor that we are 'superior'.

I disagree with you..
1. it is no competition between religions that one needs to claim superiority over the other... It is about the faith you have in ur heart..
2. U don;t need to see everything and make a valid comparison to choose ur religion.. It is religion not a mathematical theory.. Religion is based on Faith, of course accompanied with Mind (God created it for us to use, right?!). But it is built upon faith..
Let me give u an example.. (although of course it is not the same at all) If you are married, it is because simply when u saw ur wife, u felt it is her.. U had feelings for her that can't be described with mathematical terms, u used ur mind of course in the decision, but it was based on love.. and of course u didn't have to meet each and every woman on earth before getting married to the girl u love in order to make a valid comparison.. It is simply like that.. I am Christian coz I believe in all what Christianity teach, I love Jesus and I await salvation.. I don;t have to loose my live comparing religions rather than enjoying the one I have!

It can be proven. And one does not need to spend a lifetime studying all possible variations of religious beliefs to do it.
Do Buddhist or Islamic documents even provide a means to prove them or their gods? The Bible does.
Isaiah 41:21-29 -- "Present your case," says the Lord. "Bring forth your strong reasons," says the King of Jacob. "Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things, what they were, That we may consider them, And know the latter end of them; Or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, That we may know that you are gods; Yes, do good or do evil, That we may be dismayed and see it together. Indeed you are nothing, And your work is nothing; He who chooses you is an abomination. "I have raised up one from the north, And he shall come; From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name; And he shall come against princes as though mortar, As the potter treads clay. Who has declared from the beginning, that we may know? And former times, that we may say, 'He is righteous'? Surely there is no one who shows, Surely there is no one who declares, Surely there is no one who hears your words. The first time I said to Zion, 'Look, there they are!' And I will give to Jerusalem one who brings good tidings. For I looked, and there was no man; I looked among them, but there was no counselor, Who, when I asked of them, could answer a word. Indeed they are all worthless; Their works are nothing; Their molded images are wind and confusion.
Prophecy is a proof of the Bible and the One True God it declares. A short study of prophecy and the relative history will prove that there is only one God who determines the outcome of history, and proves superior to all the other by a vast margin.

I understand what you mean. I have no idea where my beliefs fit in to the grand scheme of things.
When I was younger, I wanted to read those other books.... just to know what was in them, but I never actually did.
I remember being told somewhere along the way that merely touching certain books was forbidden and would have DIRE consequences. I don't know how that can be true, but it scared me when I was younger.
Maybe I should go out and get those books now so I can learn more.......

We find what resonates with self - how could that possibly resonate for everyone - they do not have the same experiences, nor have they recorded them within the same. A covenant with God is about understanding God according to our own belief system.

Islam
CHRISTIANITY
BUDDHISM
read btween the lines of each word
I is larri= Islam
C H RIST I A IV I liT l.V (g+o+d=7+15+4=26=2+6=8=h)
BUD-D H IS IVI
so the larri who is IV I (ie IIII I) is the GOD OF 3 religions, but exactly like the bible said, most followers of those religions are really a synogoge of Satan because the claim devotion to God but in fact would prefer to kill Him.
If Worship no God but Me is translated to ....DIEU mais Moi., Couldn't the french and english God be the same
meaning
Me=IVI(sealed together)e(e=picture of arm)
Moi=IVI .n u i (sealed together)
because
O read within the letter is like an .n u when cut into 3
so read between the lines of a times new roman font
God and it equals Cu Tod
DIEU equals DI[iLU(seel you)
so if Tod's seel looked like DI it really was IIII I which was in roman numeral terms a IVI.
thus all four words seem to be a description of Tod(d).
finally some consistency in bibles.
and if allah= all ah and ah=lari (mixed up and sealed together)
then a third language is added to the mix because those who know Him also called Him a name pronounced lari.
factor in the Jews knowing Him as I AM.
I AM=I AIVI(sealed together) (a description of lari tod)
larri (cut & sealed together)=i am
and English, French, Arabians, Jews all had the same God?
what abou the italians? they described God as DIO. thus within thar word is DI.n u where the DI=IIII I.
So kneel before ZOD, i mean Todd. jking
but He does exist
SHANGDI in times new roman font and read btween the lines says: S\\ HAN CuT DI (so the seel hand CuT DI ie a IIII I). Thus the chinese word for God also described larri Todd.
so from God to those who want to murder Me, kiss My ***.
GOTT=CuT nuT liT (a times new roman font GOTT read between the lines)
