Be honest!

If you don't have your dog groomed why don't you groom him/her?

i groom my dog because 1)i'm a hairstylist so hey why not try doing it myself 2)its cheaper and 3)i hate spending more on my dogs haircut than my own and i don't want to try and find a groomer.
Its not too hard though, he sits fairly well

No, I have Old English Sheepdogs, so I am a good Groomer, however when its bath time I do take them to the local Grooming Place as they have a great walk in tub / shower, Its so much easier than trying to lift a massive dog into the bath.

sometimes I groom them, but most of the time my dad takes our toy poodle to pet smart every month or so. My other dog doesn't require much grooming so I normally groom her outside during the summer on weekends, and we take her to the vet or Pet smart to get her nails trimmed when we see they need to be trimmed. But I usually bathe them, and I usually clean off their paws with water and a towel (but only when they're muddy). My parents and I make sure they are well groomed and healthy.

I do it myself.

My breed (papillon) doesn't take much grooming though, it's all just bathing and combing/brushing, very minimal trimming (between the pads of the feet get the hair cut).

I'm actually scared to take my dog to a groomer. I've heard several horror stories about people taking their papillon to a groomer and when they pick the dog up, the groomer had cut off all the ear fringe, trimmed the fur on the tail and legs, etc..

One of my dogs I can groom (as she is low maintenance for grooming), and she is small and easy for me to clip her nails.

The other is heavier (with a little more grooming maintenance) and I have a bad back, plus she fights me when I try to clip her nails. So she goes to the groomer.

I honestly groom my own dogs. I have issues with trusting strangers with my dogs because of the things I see at the hospital everyday. I was "taught" how to properly groom my breeds from other breeders and exhibitors. I rather do it myself anyways, we always have a good time :)

I groom my dog but it's really easy because of her short hair. If she was a yokie and not a Chihuahua I would take her to a groomer.

I groom my dogs myself. The danes are easy to, and I do the Shelties because I'm not a trusting person and want it right.

I do it myself. My dog requires minimal grooming and he enjoys it very much. So for me there is just no need to have someone else do it.

I do my own grooming. It's not worthed to pay someone to groom my three shelties. I don't cut their hair short. They stay as natural as possible. I bathe them every other week. I trim their nails and brush their teeth every week.
