First tell the person your with you loved them?

I told my boyfriend (who is now my husband) that I loved him after about 2 months. He said he loved me too, but I felt the hesitance... and told him he didn't have to say it if he didn't really feel it. He insisted that he did and eventually (after another month or so) told me on his own, without my prompting. We have been together for over 6 years and just got married in October.
I suggest not telling the person unless you truly believe that they care for you on the same level. Once you say it you can't go back and it's awkward for you both if you don't get the result you expected.

It was the day after my 24th birthday. I had been doing some stupid things and had gotten high the night before (on my birthday). Well later that evening, while I was still high I was talking to him online and he seemed concern, but I told him not to come over that I was fine. The next morning he called into work and came over anyway, just to make sure I was okay. Him and my brother had a long talk with me about what I was losing by getting high and drinking and partying like I was. That day he told me he loved me and could not stand to see me going down the road I was going anymore. At that moment, something clicked and I realized that I loved him to. So I told him and his reaction was a good one. He asked me if I was just sayin that or did I really mean it? Of course I really meant it!!!! He then took me for a ride up in the mountains so we could watch the snowfall and build little snowmen. It was so romantic and the most perfect day ever. It's been almost three years since that day (My birthday is Dec. 9, we became an official couple on Dec. 10) and two kids later (we worked fast lol), a move, and I still love him just as much as I did that day. It's not just being thankful, either. I mean I am glad he helped save my life, but it was more than just that. I never fell so hard so fast and I don't regret a minute of it.

My girlfriend told me she loved me pretty early in the relationship, and I said it back, at the time i thought I did love her, and i like to speak my mind. she was really happy and then we ended up kissing on the floor.. So i guess it wasn't exactly had in mind (I watch a lot of romantic comedies lol..) but it was still good. We had a good relationship for the next 8 months, but then some things happened and she dumped me for tall, muscular guy. I guess I still like her as a friend, but I feel betrayed and I really don't trust her anymore.

actually my x told me first and i told him before i really did but i knew deep down inside that i would eventually love him. i didn't tell him right off the bat and he did understand but Lord i love him so much now and now his feelings have changed. i'm saying all this to say that when u tell people things so strong as loving them, please mean it and show it. actions speak louder than words and that 1 word really means a lot a woman and even men, well at least some of them.

The man I'm with I've known for four years and we've been great friends. I told him a lot that I loved him. Now that we are together finally, he responds to it and tells me he loves me all the time. He tells me he loves me in many different ways.

My boyfriend said it to me first... I saw it on a "myspace picture comment", which wasnt how i had hoped for but OH WELL! It was cute because he had been really sad the day before and we talked about it together and he actually realized he loved me. WHOO HOO!~

To your first question... I never told the person, that's good coz he turned out to be a right dick. The answer to the second would be n/a (not applicable).
But good luck coz when an ex of mine told me- i burst out laughing at him an told him he was stupid. Am a scenic in love....

I told my now husband after a year of dating. I did get the respnse I wanted s yu can tell.

He told me when we were cuddling and watching a movie. I think both his and my response was what we were hoping for. Although I am not with him anymore. That is love for you. lol

It was nine months after I began dating my boyfriend. Though I felt myself falling, I never say it first. I waited for him to say it and then responded likewise.
