Can I mix acrylic paint with water based wall paint, they are both water based. I want to paint a wall mural and want to tint my paint a little.

They are compatible but the acyrlic paint color saturation won't translate fully like it is in the bottle. Sometimes, I have to go a shade darker to really have the color saturation. Also, I add floetrol (a paint extender you find at the home improvement center on the paint/stain aisle) to have more open time and manipulation of the paint when doing art work and faux finishes. I always test the depth color on a board prior to application on my project surface just to be certain. Only add as much acyrlic as you have latex paint, too. (Equal amounts)

Yes you can, but this will dilute the acrylic properties. As far as color mixing goes, it should work fine.
