Worshiping Jesus is far different than following Him.

Some people are like this because there is no love in them. But, they are not even nearly all Christians. This is wishful thinking on behalf of many non-believers. The whole world is brimming with murderous hatred and is headed for the 'grande finale'. It's reached above the rim and it is showing. You can even smell the hate these days. But, Christians only make up a tiny fraction of its hateful populations.
Hate is the opposite of love. God is love. His message is a message of love. Jesus spoke it clearly; 'All the law and the prophets' (Matthew 22:37-40) hinge on love. Man has done a much better job in making thousands of sects, cults, inquisitions, crusades, and other abominable things from its misinterpretation and misapplication than he has done in simply obeying the Bible's commandment of love.
But, this doesn't mean that we are to simply lie down and tolerate everything. It doesn't mean that when we are degraded (like people do here to us all day long) that we aren't going to be offended. Some people truly do test a man's patience. But, this is why we are to overcome and 'come out of' this world. It's not always easy. Jesus even had moments. He was human for a while, with all the things that come with it. Emotions included.
But we have to be careful not to let people bring out something as ugly from within ourselves as they have in them. They do it deliberately because they're filled with rage and venomous hate. Oh, then they have the audacity to ask 'why are you guys so offended? It's a sick and petty game played by those with sick and petty minds.
If they could only see themselves they would realize that the joke really isn't on us at all. It also shows just how bad many of them do need a change of heart. When we were babies it was ok to lay in our own messes. When we matured it was no longer pleasant (no offense intended). Christians need to be careful not to fall into the deadly trap in which others are ensnared and have set for us. Misery loves company.
God bless.

The same as our governments and authorities are intolerant against acts that corrupt a society, they push us to obey the laws. But some people are hard to live under those principals and keep an armony, they would take the law-enforcement as hateful.
In the religious field Jesus was intolerant agains any kind of sin, and as you may know, many hated him too.

This is contractadictory, as you know. Genuine followers of Jesus are not pushy, intolerant or hateful. The exact opposite. I am amazed that you can ask such a question, I can't believe that you mix with so many hypocritical Christians.

True that God is Love and Jesus is the son of God. True that Jesus teaches us the best meaning of love..
I agree with u that SOME worshipers are not as good as we should all be.. But remember, we are all humans seeking the perfection, not have reached it..
Besides, if I do understand the inside meaning, let me tell you that some Christians, coz they have tasted how good Christianity is, and coz they may love someone who have not tasted that himself, would be pushy in trying to persuade him.her... I know this is not the best way at all.. But please forgive us, coz if some of us do it, it is out of love, though not in the proper way..

Jesus is love and we are created in the image of God, but we don't get everything right - we sin. We are not perfect but every single person has some likeness to God even though it is not fully

I am a Christian and I totally know what you mean, It is not the way Jesus was or how he has taught us.
So I as a good Christian when I see someone who is all high and mighty look down on others and is sarcastic I say in a church lady voice "ISN'T THAT SPECIAL, I see your love of Jesus all over your face. Now! Let's do the dance" and we all did the church lady dance......... OK I did that once because I was really sick of this lady in church who was obviously better than the rest of us. All at my church now know, I let them know when they are ugly.......

Nietzsche made an interesting analysis of these people's motivations.
They feel weak and afraid. So they espouse a theory according to which there is a God which will vindicate them against those they perceive as strong. They believe that by remaining meek in this life, they will be able to take revenge in the next as they are rewarded and as their perceived foes are sent to Hell for all of eternity. So they get a double bonus for their belief: First, they don't have to abandon their envy at the world, because they get to hang on to a future promise. Nor do they have to abandon the idea of revenge, which their God will provide for them. Secondly, they get to remain comfortably moral in the belief that they have no such desires, since they ascribe them to their God and can continue to claim that their beliefs are inspired by love.
Of course, envy and hatred are the true emotions motivating them to posit such a God.

They aren't God's people. Just because someone claims to be a Christian doesn't mean they really are. If you are not living your life according to the way Jesus lived His, you are not following The Word and example of Christ. Jesus even tells us that there will be those that call on Him and He will tell them that He never knew them.
