Get a keg, a gallon of rum, plenty of juices and stuff for mixers, and 2 fifths of vodka. Get a few bottles of white and red, don't chill the red. This is enough for a good start, and what people bring will just add to the mix. Happy b-day!

well considering the last party i threw we drained a full size keg among about 15 people in a little under 3 hours ur gonna need the following

2 Kegs
2 Bottles of a cheaper but not the cheapest vodka
2 Bottles of 151
2 Bottles of Malibu Rum
1 Bottle of Jack
Few Bottles of Boons Farm for the sissy wine drinkers
Plenty of pop Dr. Pepper is always a safe bet so is coke
Kool Aide, OJ, and possibly Red Bull to mix with vodka
And dont forget the plastic cups

If you get some pineapple juice you can make Carabulu's which are always a hit at my parties we usually make about two gallons and its usually gone by the end of the night

Its in a small glass 1 shot 151 one shot Malibu rum and pineapple juice to the top of bout a 8 ounce or a Collins glass it goes down like candy but will kick your *** if you dont watch it so be care full and have fun!!

Not knowing the indiviuals tastes, a lot of everything (well not a lot read below).
I would say no more than 1/5 of any whiskey, several bottles of several wine styles, and a few cases of mixed brands of beer
and of course a good variety of wash and mixes

Dont forget the pretzels and corn chips!

Go easy up front, you can always make a beer run when you see whats hot and whats not

lots. But remember that some people will bring their own I would say about 4 Units per person if the party isn't going to be very long, however a longer party may require 8 units per person. and if its an 'all nighter' I'm thinking about 12. try about 2 units per hour per person. This is gonna be a very expensive party, remember that you need some people to stay responsible and no skins kinda stuff.

PS I feel sorry for your parents. lol

You can tell an american on Yahoo!!!!!! In britain it is legal at 18!
Why not get everyone to bring their own! I would always take a couple of bottles of wine to a party. Less for you to buy. Hard to say how much for an 18th!!!!! Probably an off licences worth!!!!!! But get people to bring their own! Why should you pay its your party!!!!!

Just give me the money and the list, and i will purchase everything...then when you turn 21... whatever is left is yours! That sounds responsible and fair. I will probably need about 500 to get all the ingredients. Cash only.

40 people....i would say at least one keg, i would go with about two fifths of everclear and alot of fruit juices to make some hella good juice bombs. also yager and red bull. its always better to have to much then not enough. have fun

Why not just be a normal 18 year old and get a keg of coors light.

If it's your birthday, why are you supplying any of the party supplys? You should stay sober at such a young age, that's my answer.

Order pizzas, soda pop and buy cake and ice cream.

no hard liquor/wines/beers for you all coz you're not even 21 yet!
but you're 18 and deserves to be happy at least.
go with Smirnoff and you'll prolly be needing 50-60 bottles. i'm sure not everyone drinks
