Assuming you mean a doctor of health:

Being a doctor requires being able to work with people and preparing to put time and effort into your studies. Whilst people skills are important, qualifications are probably even more important.

Maths, Chemistry and Biology are three that would need at least some level of qualitfication at a higher level (at least A-Level) or your countries equivalent.

Patients, tolerance, understanding, empathy, self-preservation, good communication, and humor all come to mind. Not to mention an extremely strong determination and a healthy dose of reality.
If you were wanting a list of medical skills like procedures, then those will be learned in school when you get there.

your bachelor in psychology is going to cover a wide range of courses (including the ones you mentioned) as well as statistics and scientific research skills. if you go to any university's web site and check their psychology department you can probably find a sample curriculum. mine included basic psych, personality, human development, statistics, research, social psychology, health psychology, biological psychology, an internship, among others. if you're interested in working as a clinician you can get a master's degree in psychology or counseling. i did mine in counseling which prepped me to become a marriage and family therapist. as far as being a psychologist, you'll need a Ph.D. and you can go straight into a program following undergrad or get a Master's first. from personal experience and observation, having a Master's (and the experience that comes with it) helps a lot. i'm currently working on getting a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (versus Clinical Psychology) and plan to license as a psychologist. hope this helps. good luck!

Wow, so many great answers here. Doctors have to be extremely intelligent and hard working just to get through school. You need to be very good in math, biology, chemistry, anatomy and related fields. In order to make a good doc you should also be caring and social. I hat eseeing a doc that has no personality and just says uhuh uhuh and then writes a script. You should be able to talk to people and actually care about them if you want to be a good doc.

Um no, you need to be a well-rounded individual to show that you are caring, committed and determined. You also have to be enthusiastic about medicine and prepared for life-long learning eg. doctors need to be familiar with latest ways of diagnosis. Also chemistry a-level definitely, biology and one other academic subject. Plus Engish and maths gcses.

Based on most of the doctors that I've worked with and met, not too many skills are required. You just have to get good grades in college, and you can become a doctor.
