Cristians.
Sure, not all of them are bad, but they can be pretty nasty.
I was talking to my uncle's freind about the sore topic, religon, and I told him that I think that God does not intervene in human affairs. And he says "Well you better get that thought out of your head or you are going to hell"
This is not a rare thing, why do you guys think that cristians can get so nasty when they defend their faith?

Gods greatest give to us is our own freewill.
Your uncle's friend is being ignorant by thinking he is better than you merely because he thinks differently.
I consider myself a Christian, but it is hard for me to attend organized places of worship due to people that you have described in your example. No one else can tell you what to believe or how to believe.
Personally, I respect anyone who believes in something.
People who believe in nothing and belittle others for believing in something are who are really annoying.

It's like anything in life, you get good people and bad people, and bad people can believe in God. This Uncle is obviously one of the obnoxious ones. There are a lot of good Christians too. I just happen to think that they are good people anyway, not just because they believe or not.

I hate calling myself a Christian because of that very reason. I am a Christ follower but I do not believe I am better than anyone else. I have a hard time talking with other Christians sometimes because they can be so judgmental. I am not sure hwy they are like this but it bothers me as well.

Im only speaking out for rude christians on here like (idahomike) (jesussaves) and this dude with a lion avatar they are always threatening everyone with hell I wish they would stop..the rest of the christians on here are nice people with an exception of a few

The whole going to hell thing is from ignorance. Any Christian who things he/she has the right or ability to judge who is going to hell has not read their Bible very carefully.
Nasty is what we call a bad witness and it gives us all a bad name.

yeah my stepfather once said that Mother Theresa was now burning in hell because she was a catholic and not a "real" Christian.
i think people just like to think that the the master of the universe agrees with THEM. (of course they think of it in terms of them agreeing with the master of the universe, however, since its all happening in THEIR head, it might as well be themselves)
lets just suppose all the rubbish of Christianity is in fact true. i will not be surprised to be sent to hell, however, i have a feeling that LOADS of "Christians" are going to be very surprised at how GOD reacts to them having taken it upon themselves to speak for him their entire lives.
