Recently I had to re install Microsoft 2003 on my Desktop computer. Not being familiar with the software, I foolishly "lost" all my archive files and folders on "Microsoft Outlook".

The installation has reverted back to an initial state of some kind with history or archives.

I have to accept that I have lost everything.

I am not familiar in how to sign-up and get the "Outlook" package connected again.

Could you please give me brief and simple instructions to follow.

My present Internet server is "Tiscali".

Is this anything to do with getting "Outlook" going again?

Kind Regards,

Earlene S

All your emails, contacts, etc are stored in the outlook.pst file on your computer and the archive is stored in archive.pst

In Win XP and Outlook 2003 both of these files are located in:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

When you reinstalled Office it might be possible that your original .pst files were backed up. Go to the above mentioned folder and look for all .pst files. The old ones with data should be much bigger.

If they are there, just delete the new files (smaller) and rename the older bigger files to the correct name. (outlook.pst and archive.pst)

Good luck.
