I live in Phenix City Alabama. My birthday is December 7 so I want to go away for a few days. Where are some close places with interesting things to see? About a two hour drive is the most I am willing to travel, unless there is is just something really special a bit farther out, and I am planning on Dec. 7- December 9.

Take the gas money... buy a ticket to Turkey.
When you arrive in Istanbul, catch a flight to Adana... Meet me. We'll have few beers, then I'll show you that all of life's little issues can be resolved over a few pint of beers.
Sure, you'll have jet-lag... But you will be well on your way to solving the problems in this world.
