They don't get sent away or killed.
If you have twins in China you are considered very lucky and it is not frowned upon.

The fact is that your wrong about the one child policy! its not the same or as strict as it was 10 years ago now, i have been working here now as a teacher in schools, orphanages etc... and if you have twins its classed as one birth! no matter how many there are, and they are treated as equal! No extra money, tax, just the same as it would as be if you had one child! and NO its not considerd lucky if you have twins in China, its actualy not good as most familys here are poor and find it hard anouth to support one child let alone two.
These days the one child policy states that if you from a small family or from the country side! you may if you wish have two children.
If your from the city no matter what size the city, its one!
Also you can only have one if you have a big family.
Ill tell you a sad story now, i often here of sad storys here, and i have seen and just cant forget what happens here sometimes, But if you have a girl here, they of 65% dissowned, killed, dumped! and the sad fact is because its all to do with tradition!
Chinese beleive that if they have a son, then he could carry the familys blood lines and name for years to come, so if its a girl they will just dislike her, even some familys i heard will sell there daughter to a farmer who cant find a wife, or they will sell her to be a prostitute! or slave labour!
Many things that happen here are so sad, im writing a book about my life here, you never know, maybe one day you will read it!

The child policy in China actually means 1 PREGNANCY, so twins, triplets and quads are all perfectly legal and may stay with the mother. Nobody gets killed or sent away, my friend had twins 2yrs ago.

How stupid people are! Everyone loves twins in China (especially girls) and the parents 'get' to keep both because they're their children! Your story won't go far because the twins will grow up together with no problems. Don't demonise China based on one government policy, it's mainly like in the UK or the US.

Dont make faulse story on China!!! maybe sth that China didnt do very good, but not about twins in China!!! They consider twins to be very lucky and wont send them away or kill them.
Even for multi children in China nowadays, they just force to pay a lot of money not to kill them.
Dont write your stupid story. OK?

The case of twins is the same as the case with any multi-child family. The first baby gets full government support. The second one gets half of what the government would pay.

Since they are said to take the organs from members of the religious Falun Gong for transplanting to others, one would wonder whether they might extend that to the extra twin. Probably the doctor's decision, as doctors sometimes kill deformed babies here.
Did you see the documentary about the Chinese Falun Gong aired in New Zealand? Too hot to air in the (free) U.S., I guess.
