I would believe that....graveyard shifts take a toll on your heart health due to stress and feeling lonely, like you are living on a different planet than everyone else.

maybe if you consider time you would've spent in traffic (etc) if you were working a 9-5 and commuting.
i mean, if you spend 2 hours a day in your car in traffic and as opposed to 30 minutes on your way to work in the middle of the night...
you end up with more free time I guess.

As long as you get enough rest, nutrition and sunlight, you shouldnt lose any more years off your life than the average person.

Not so sure about years, but weeks, for sure. The abnormal hours tend to wreak havoc with the body's internal clock.

Naaa I asked this question a while back. I was concerned too. They say up to 10years is lost. But I think that's if you don't have a proper diet and good sleep.
