the problem is that you cannot tell whether theve been influenced by groups or not and as part of their religion as when jesus etc anounced it there were no similar claims and thatthey were 'lookig' for one,so to speak.

I have often wondered that same question. And also if modern christian would follow him as they did in the bible. It is a very good question. I'm afraid that I have a sort of pessimistic view of the world today so, I would think that he would be treated worse than he did in his own time. (Jesus) As for Moses, I have read the story many times and I am still not sure why he was chosen for the tasks that he was because he didn't seem to want to do it and Aaron was actually a better candidate.

We know there are two witnesses coming during the end times. The people will kill them, and while their bodies are laying in the street, presents will be sent between people to celebrate their death. The whole world will be able to look on them, but on the third day, they will be raised from the dead.
This was a prophecy written in the first century, long before anyone had any idea about computers and sending images in real time.
Prophecy is never wrong in the Bible.
So yes, the ones to come will be "outcast."

probably...the Psychiatric wards are full of patients claiming to be Jesus or Moses. Modern Science calls them delusional.
Forget about any miracles in front of the masses (burning bushes, water into wine etc.). It would be dismissed as a good magical trick.

Could I see Benny Hinn hanging out with Jesus? Hell NO! I don't know what these rich evangelical ministers think they have in common with Jesus but I consider them to be the greatest exploiters of faith, besides Muslim extremists, in our world today. Remember, Jesus was an outcast from his own society in his own day so I don't see why he wouldn't be and outcast today.

ancient-day moses and jesus were outcast THROUGHOUT their lives, so it is reasonable to presume that modern day versions would, too.
Moses: born condemned to die, abandoned at birth to fate, fled pharaoh's court a fugitive, led the Hebrews into the wilderness, kept out of Israel by God.
Jesus: born out of wedlock, hid from the king, missing for 3 decades, chosen to die over a thief, missing from the grave, not seen for nearly 2000 years.

What makes you think that this hasn't occurred hundreds of times in the past? We have only one place to put individuals that claim God is talking to them in modern society, and it's not a church.

The Bible times Moses and Jesus were outcast. They even killed Jesus.
I don't see why it would be any different now.
