I believe that you have a condition called Hidradenitis Supprativa. It is a condition of re-occurring boils/ cysts/abscesses , that are often misdiagnosed as ingrown hairs, herpes, being unclean and folliculitis. This is a newly diagnosed skin condition , but there is a lot of info out there.
Here is a link :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidradenitis_suppurativa
If this sounds like it might be you, READ it, PRINT it out, and TAKE it to your DOC.
Its better to try to start treatment soon, it can spread over the body if left untreated.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO POP THEM!!
These boils can become quite large and painful. Sometimes even lasting for weeks or months and can spread all over the body. Most common areas are armpits, groin, binkni line, inner legs, and intimate places and basically anywhere that sweats and rub against clothing. Stress is a big inducer.

There is some support groups at MSN , and yahoo, and I am open for questions!
I have had this for 8 years, I was misdiagnosed for a LONG time, It was very embarrassing, painful and scary. I am just trying to help out so you don’t have to wait as long as I did.

It may not neccisarily be staph. These can come from a number of different types of infections neither having to do with being unclean. This is a coomon area for women to get boils because of the placement of your lymph glands. One way to help is a hot tea bag. It is an old remedy the tannins in the tea help draw out what is in it. Or go to the pharmacy adn look for drawing salve. If this persists though see a doctor it could be something more serious.

I had / have the same problem. It can be so embarassing....I'm sorry you have it. Here's your options: You can get some "boil cream" - that will just make it pop quicker.
You can go to any doctor and get clyndimycin (not spelled right) gel or roll on or cream.
If you use the clyndomycin gel it will improve. Last but not least, I am in the process of having my underarm hair removed and that wil solve the problem according to my obgyn. Good luck, I know they hurt, especially with a bra.

Boils are painful and can be caused by a virus infection in your body. You should probably see a Doctor if you can. Also, your deoderant may be irritating it further. Try not using deoderant or switching deoderants.

Change your deodorant brand. Same thing happened to me using Dry Idea. Good inexpensive alternative is equal parts of corn starch and baking soda. really
