I am a religious person but personally I wouldn't force my views on society through law which make me have no say on abortion either way. And as far as Gay Marriage goes what other couples doesn't affect the sanctity of my marriage so if the state recognizes Gay Marriage it has no affect on me so I actually do support it. Basically I am trying to see if these argument are strictly based on religion or if people without religion have them too.

Prirate I argee with you. I think it is funny that people will fight for the right for abortion and others fight against but nobody really fights to get people educated to the point where abortion wouldn't be so common. Education has shown itself to lower pregnancy rates amongst teens and adults as well as actually cause them to put off having sex. Its a win win for both sides.

Interesting. I am morally against abortion, but think that it should be legal and safe, I also think that Society should stress responsible sex practices, including distributing condoms to your kids, while telling then that it is not permission. The point here is that we know many people have premarital sex, so just telling them not to do it and hoping if they do that they will be responsible is obviously not working.
I have nothing against same sex marriage, and definitely believe that it is not my place to force my morality on others.

I personally know a few atheists who are both pro life and against gay marriage but they all do support civil unions.

Here's what I am for---minding my own damn business. Abortions are for each woman to decide. I don't tell you how to wipe your derriere do I? Gay marriage again that is between the two parties involved.

There are some pro-life atheists that post regularly here.
I don't recall meeting one that was opposed to gay marriage though.

I like your way of thinking. More people should adopt it.
I'm a christian and no reason to fear gay marriage, and no reason to make abortion illegal. If it's immoral, then let God judge, not me. He has told me to love others, not judge.
