$350 is on the low-side for purchasing home theatre equipment. However, if you absolutely have to stay below that, then I would recommend the Panasonic SC-PT750 Home Theater System. I believe I've seen this being sold online from Butterfly Photo for $322. It's the best in that price range.

Check out some of the Denon DHT systems.
I am not going to claim these are earth-rumbling bass or accurate speakers, but it's a good system to start with that you can upgrade the sub or speakers later. You are getting a decent receiver to build upon.
