Why must we have the "evolution" debate when the Bible proves that we was created by God? We don't even have to think about this one. We can have our students studying more important things since the mystery of human origins has been solved!

nice sarcasm. Science should be taught in school, religion in church. That is the basic fundamental belief of separation of church and state. I go to church to listen about my faith. I went to school to be educated on topics other than religion. Pretty simple.

If man was evolving, he would generate a new brain cell every six months. But this is not happening. He loses millions of brains cells in days.

Still if evolution took place, it would be through a series of favorable mutations. But favorable mutations are rare and there are more unfavorable mutations than favorable mutations. So there is devolution (or retrograde evolution - backward evolution instead.

Secondly, evolution goes against the second law of thermodynamics, which states that everything left on its own degenerates. That is why the universe is in a run down state and could not have evolved from the random chaos of a big bang.
Therefore, God had to create it.

Man was created by God. He did not come from the Neanderthal man. Because modern man, the Neanderthal man and some spieces of primitive life forms existed contemperaneously with man. e.g. Perosaurus and the colecanth. Some of them were observed in places like New Guinea and the Congo. The Aztecs also had cave drawings of flying reptiles.

God created man in His image that is why man has a longing for God and is neurologically pre-wired to worship Him. This is a scientific fact. Man is constantly looking for the source from which he came, and can only be fulfilled if he relates back to His source, God.

Your argument is that the Bible PROVES it? In order for it to be proved by the Bible, you have to believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. This claim was first made by the Catholic Church at the Council of Rome in the 4th century (they are the ones who decided which religious works were to be in the Bible and which were not). In order to believe this claim, you need to believe that the Catholics were right.

But Catholics believe that Genesis is allegory and that evolution is true. This leads to a contradiction in beliefs.

So maybe you don't follow this argument and still want to insist that the Bible should be taken literally. If so, my next question to you is "Do you believe in transubstantiation?" In other words -- do you believe that the bread and wine actually become the body and blood of Jesus? If you are Protestant -- then it is unlikely that you believe this. But there it is in the Bible. Jesus said "This is my body" and "this is my blood." But you probably think that Jesus was speaking symbolically.

So -- my next question to you is why is it that Gos speaks symbolically and teaches through parables in the New Testament -- but is incapable of doing the same thing in the Old Testament.

Everything we know in biology is consistent with evolution -- and nothing we know is inconsistent with evolution. We did not evolve from Monkeys -- but monkeys and men evolved from common ancestors.

You should study more -- your ignorance on religious and biological matters is all too apparent.

Because the Bible doesn't prove that we were "was" created by GOD, it just says that we were. It is just a book, man. If I were to write down that humanity was created by a flying spaghetti monster on a sheet of paper, is that also true just because it is written down? Of course not!

Go back to school before you start talking about what "proof" means. Science has shown that Origin is not as described in the Bible in a literal sense and the processes and success rate of science has far more validity than what is written in a book.

How does the bible prove that a god even exists much less created anything?

It is words on paper. No one knows the exact author. No one knows how the author got the information. There is nothing to back up the bible. Not exactly a reliable source of information.

"Why do liberals think we evolved from monkies when the Bible proves that we was created by God? "

If by Liberals you mean political Lefties they don't. Certain Christians just THINK "liberals" believe this.

"Liberal Theology" on the other hand doesn't have to mean "pro evolution."

(BTW Monkies is correctly spelled "monkeys.")

The bible proves nothing. It is a theory of the nature of a higher power that's it. It was written by the Jews and for the Jews. Your incapacity to think outside the box blow me away and is beyond the realm of my comprehension. By the way I am not a liberal but a libertarian so get a a life.

Are we so far gone that political affiliation can be decided by your religion? I know plenty of Republicans who believe in evolution

The only thing the bible proves is that the people who wrote it apparently had access to better dictionaries than you do. Or are you just the ten millionth monkey, working on your Hamlet script

The Bible is not an original story, it was copied from a book thousands of years earlier based on Horace in egypt, Why would you live your life according to a book that has been copied, translated, and interpeted in thousands of ways, what makes you think that your religious beliefs are the only way to "heaven" POOF I made man give me a break

Being written in a book sure is proof of nothing . Written words can be just untruthful as spoken words .
No intelligent person believes we evolved from monkeys . That was a church idea to discredit Darwin . Nothing in Darwins book suggests that we evolved from monkeys . When it comes to deception , lies , and ignorance, look to the church .
