i know alot of you wont agree with the fact that i had an abortion...but anyways when i went to have it they were outside the place and you could hear them yelling even inside..they dont know anything that us women go through with it as it is or why we do it. there is nothing more that i hate than these protestors. yeah you can speak your mind...but the pictures are a little over board i mean get a f***ing life and support the kids that dont have good homes and the kids who are heading in the wrong direction. its ridiculous.

Sigh. I am saddened every time I see the arguement that abortion is better than a child being abused, growing up with no dad is better than having one that hits you, etc. Understand that BOTH situations are harmful to the child and ultimately society. We need to curb or better yet stop these harmful influences be delveloping positive substitutes, not supporting the lesser of two evils. These protesters have been driven to use "shock" because they see more and more Americans fail to hear their message each day. Many of those same people DO in fact adopt children, and offer to babysit for unwed mothers, and many other alternatives to aborting these children. They are interested in preserving a society, not just worried about what you have the right to do. I am disappointed this question is even on a Religion & Spirituality forum, but am glad to have the opportunity to post. Make good choices.

To protest protestors? If you wish to take their right to protest away then no there is no way freedom of speech. But some places have put up walls so the protestors can't be seen I think this works well. Other than that you could just have people be inside that can give these people support once they have gotten away from the people outside.

You can wear a pro-choice tee shirt or make your own signs that show how you feel but please be careful. I worked at Planned Parenthood a few years ago and I got death threats all the time from anti-abortion protesters. For some reason the Anti-Abortion groups tend to attract a lot of mentally unstable people.

Whatever you decide to do - never, ever give them an inch.
People who protest abortions aren't actually out to save lives - they are out to control women and force them into a sub-human role. Never, ever make the mistake of thinking that an anti-choice fanatic actually cares about anyone other than themselves - they are some of the most wretched beings on the face of this earth.
You can always buy them coffee - early in the morning, just show up with a smile and some boxes of Dunkin Donuts coffee - spiked with syrup of ipecac. Praise them for their hard work, and say how you'd join them if you didn't have a job to go to - but tell them that you want to help out by warming them up. They'll be too sick to protest for long.

Peacefully protest.
It seems as though they are hitting below the belt with the pics on the signs. No side will ever win. This is a touchy subject and people feel as though they have a right to push their ideas and morals on others, whether they like it or not.

Tearfully ask them to stop exploiting the deceased for political gain. They probably won't be affected but at least you will look nobler than they.
I happen to be firmly against the abortion mills but those protesters make even me sick to my stomach.

Send their names to the non-profit European Pope and he will make them honorary monks and nuns when he lectures at the United Nations in 2008.
