You won't get into starvation mode by fasting for a few hours every day.

Eat your normal amount of calories and normal number of servings, just eat later in the day and divide them into two meals and several snacks.

Example: At 2pm eat a sandwich, glass of milk, small salad and piece of fruit. At 4pm have some fruit or veggies and salsa. At 5:30pm eat normal dinner: one or two carbs, two vegs, 3-4 oz meat or beans, glass of milk, fruit. At bedtime have a final snack: peanut butter on celery or small piece of cheese and crackers or yougurt with granola and fruit.

I know due to religious reason it is very very hard on alot of poeple . but i do not beleive your body is going to go into stravation mode with only fasting a few hours a day you are eating after 2 pm with means it is getting the energy it need's to survive just at a later hour don't worry about it and enjoy your holiday !! million's of people around the world do this all the time with no worries .

While fasting, you should get enough fresh air, drink only juices or warm water not cold water.

Avoid strenuous physical activities. Take only short walks.
