He did not choose it. This was God, his creator who created him as man.

Jesus came first for the Jew then later the gentile.
In Jewish society, at the time, the women were little more than possessions.
It would make sense that he came as a man because a woman would have no influence in that society. also he would need to be a teacher and once again they were men.

Because man was created first and woman out of man as his sidekick. But not so now with Christ because there is no favortism with God. Whether or not you are a man or woman, if you believe in Him and got the heart to carry out His will, plan and purpose, then the world is yours!

I totally agree with Ashley. I also think that Jesus has a male identity which was created long before he came to Earth. Just like the way we incarnate as male or female, it was part of his soul's purpose to be a man.

Can you think of one historically famous woman from THOSE times? The Queen of Sheba? Cleopatra? You had to be a Queen or ruler to have pull.
Women just had no means of persuasion, no ‘power’ in society.

in those days, women were not looked upon very favorably. Wait, in that part of the world, that hasnt changed. Anyway. It was a male dominated society. It even says in the bible that women are not equal to men.

Women were not supposed to preach in the church. They were not prophets. They were submissive to men. Jesus would have not been able to reach the people effectively had he been female.
