There's no harm in waiting a while to see what happens. There are two conditions that cause this - one eventually heals on its own and the other type does not. Maybe your son has the type of condition that heals on its own, or maybe the doctor is trying to determine if it will heal on its own by waiting. If it doesn't heal within a year from now, then its probably time to have it treated surgically (which is the only way to fix the problem). Its a good idea to avoid surgery if it isn't necessary, even it it means waiting a year. The condition doesn't cause pain, and your son may not even be aware that anything is wrong.

It might be hydrocle. Sometimes it can be caused by injory or inflammation to the area. It is harmless and common but usually in older men not kids.
It might also be torsion of the testicle where one testicle twist out of normal position. Usually there is pain with it. It can sometimes untwist itself.
Could aslo be varicocele where the veins that drain one of the testicles become abnormally expanded. To relief discomfort where tighter underwear.
You can try and do some research on www.webmd.com
I wouldn't worry about it unless your child starts to get ill or complains of pain.

Well, 1 can be bigger than the other. Usually not by much though. This really isn't the best place to ask. I'd google "swollen testicles" for more opinions if you're not satisfied with your Dr's answer.

Hmm, you haven't got a serious doctor, if you can't get all the explanation you need from him/her. I would reccomend asking him/her again, if they could explain for you what the situation is, instaed of going and speculate for no reason or get 2 much worried about it.

Good luck

Get in touch with your dr's surgery, ask to see adifferent Dr, dont leave it too long.It may not be any thing serious, but ask the dr to explain it to you, they usually do, so that you understand it, Hopefully it wont be too serious but you never know, so back you go! hope that this helps you.

It may be that he has bumped it and that has caused the swelling. Theres a little info here:
