Some Christians say deeds cannot get you into heaven. That you have to accept Christ, thats the ONLY way... The BEST person in the world cannot get in unless they accept Christ...

So i'm curious, what if a homosexual accepts Christ? Doesn't matter that he/she is sinning by having homosexual sex... they accepted Christ right?

If a homosexual goes to hell for committing gay sex, then it would seem deeds DO have something to do with getting into heaven... that would mean you can't just believe Christ is your personal savior and lord and still get in...

After all, we all fall short of grace anyway and he's the only way and we ALL sin...

And if you CAN go to Hell for having homosexual sex and not repenting, then will the hetero fornicators that cohabitate with their bf/gf's be in hell to? Or someone that lies or commits adultery?

Where is the consistency? If accepting Christ is the only way, then gays can go to heaven too... if they can't, then apparently, deeds DO count..

It's not up to me to decide another person's salvation - I think Christians who say all homosexuals are going to hell should spend more time thinking about their own walk with Christ.

First of all, you should try limiting your question to one or two questions instead of 5 or 6. People might be able to answer you better.

Leviticus 20:13 states:

“ If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (TNIV):

“ Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes NOR PRACTICING HOMOSEXUALS nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

"Being gay" is not the moral transgression here, it is the ACTING ON IT.

Accepting Christ means you surrender your earthly values of sin to him and allow him to transform your life. If someone "accepts Christ" and then proceeds with a "business as usual" attitude and continues to live their life in the exact same manner without any change or reverence for following Christ, then the person probably hasn't genuinely accepted Christ.

If that is the case, than the person is no better off even though they've technically asked Christ without accepting him, because it is empty and meaningless if you ask just to make yourself feel better about your behavior.

Thus, when a homosexual, a thief, a liar, a drunkard, a prostitute, or any other sinner is contemplating accepting Christ, he/she must make a choice: Reject his/her life of sin and accept Christ and his teachings, or continue without Christ and adopt his/her own version of what is sinful or not.

If a homosexual chooses the former and genuinely accepts Christ, he/she has made an affirmation that homosexual behavior is a sin and will turn away from it. If he "accepts" Christ and continues with "business as usual" with homosexual behavior, he can't just hide behind the fact that he asked Christ to be his savior to justify his behavior when there has been no genuine acceptance of him or his teachings.

"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Eph. 4:24

God has nothing against homosexuals unless they commit the actual act.I like woman but I that doesn't mean that because I have excepted Jesus I can lay with whoever I want. That would be fornication which is a sin.Sin will keep us out of heaven. If I was a child molester who had excepted Jesus, I could be forgiven, God is very merciful. But I would have to stop what I was doing and probably spend some time in jail.

Because the Bible has a few passages that specifically call for killing any man that lies with a man as he would a woman. I don't recall the Bible saying anything bad about a woman doing another woman those. I guess Lesbians are alright but gay men are the ones going to hello. But then again, this is just a book written by men. It's not a book written by a God because there is not God and there is no heaven or hell.

i am a lesbian, and Ex-christian. And i have had to come to the relazation the the two don't go hand in hand
christians believe that sex out of marriage is wrong: homosexuals do this.
Christians believe in repentance, so if you have gay sex once than repent for fornicating, then do it again delibratly...
Then you fall short of gods kingdom...
If you intend on sinning repetedly, you may aswell become atheist like me.
I can't help being gay.
christians will always see homosexuality as a sin...
so the is no winning.

I will answer with couple of questions if you don't mind

1 who decides when a sin is a sin, killing is a sin but christians and followers of Islam are doing it and often in the name of god.

2 Who said the we should suffer here to be reward in and after life, is it not generally those how gain in this life time from the control they have on others who preach this.

3 Would it not be better to concentrate on make our lives better and those of others while we live, and by such actions we could even find ourselves for-fulling the desire of God and not the words put in his mouth by man

And how can anyone compare being an alcoholic with being a homosexual!!!!

the last was not a question.

SIN WILL NOT ENTER INTO HEAVEN

just saying there is a GOd or I believe in Jesus means nothing

Its accepting HIM and HIS ways
not believeing He is yet doing it your way

SIN is SIN

and Homosexuality is an Abomination
and thats just the way it is

and if the Homosexual was sincere in there heart then they would see the TRUTH which the Truth says there is NO homosexuality , cause its an abomination
and its the TRUTH of Gods Word which would set them free from that bongade of SIN , the sin of homosexuality...
and THEY WOULD NOT....ever want of it again !!!

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins"

The problem I am seeing more and more is the fact that many people are refusing to classify acts of homosexuality as sin. They are either a preference, a lifestyle, or a genetic trait, but not viewed as a sin. When we come to Christ, we confess our sin, and put them under the covering of His blood. If you refuse to acknowledge something as a sin, you cannot put it under the covering of the blood of Christ. Are they going to hell? That is for God to decide. But since the Bible tells us, "By their fruits you shall know them", I really have to question their commitment when they refuse to acknowledge a sin in their life, whether it be homosexuality, adultery, fornication, etc.

Let me put it this way. Before you receive Christ, works (deeds) mean nothing. Then after you receive Christ then works show if your faith is true or not. James 2:20 says faith without works is dead.

What applies to the Havens also to the earth. God being the ultimate parent who created us and gave us the 10 commandments....deemed it an abomination onto him.If your earthly parents found you to be doing something considered horrible disgusting to them chances they will punish you in some way that is harsh than regular faults. What applies to the earth , applies with our heavenly father.
