I HAVE A KNOT THAT SHOWED UP ON A MRI I HAD DONE OF MY RIGHT ANKLE.DOCS ARE SENDING ME TO A ORTHEPEDIC SURGEON SO THAT USUALLY MEANS THE KNOT IS ON MY BONE.WHAT DOES THAT MEAN.WHAT COULD IT BE?IS IT CANCER?

Bone cancer affects the bone marrow, and does not show up as a bump on the outside of the bone. Bumps on the bone are calcium deposits (bone spurs) that may occur for no apparent reason, or in response to inflammation.
