Just trying to see others you relate to most and why.

Oh come on! You guys make my hair fall out. All I am saying if you lived and there was not the religion you are with now. Is there any other you respect? It's not like you are renouncing your G-d. Thank you for the one out of 15 answers that answered my question though.

Dead or seriously depressed. I watched a science program the other day that was explaining the current theory of how the universe will end up. The idea is that since it turns out the universe is still rapidly expanding, eventually all matter in the universe will pull apart. Even the atoms will come apart. In the end there will literally be nothing. If this is true, then every single thing we do is absolutely meaningless. It doesn't matter that people are dying in Iraq. There's no point in trying to stop the genocide in Darfur. It doesn't even matter if you say a kind word to a neighbor. It all ends the same. But because I know that there is a God, there is purpose.

Our human nature requires that we exist for a purpose. So naturally, if I discovered that my religion was false, I'd either despair and commit suicide, or I'd adjust to a new one. Perhaps I'd even create my own religion.

Basically, we need to believe in something, and if the current something is false, then we would move on to something else.

Dead. I would have committed suicide by age 18. Despair got to me then and without my God I would have ditched my ID, swallowed many pills and crawled off somewhere to die. This was my actual plan. I'm so glad Jesus is not a religion, He rescued me from pain/myself. I love Jesus.

I'd still be myself if that's what you wanted to know. With or without religion.

I would be Jewish then. It is most closely linked to my religion and they are the chosen people.
