I think you have to answer a certain amount of questions and get a certain number of best answers. I don't know the stats, but I think that Level 2 isn't high enough to earn the top contributer label. I'm level 5 with 15% best answer, and I don't have the designation yet, so keep working on it.

From looking at your point total and starting at YA, I'd say you are not a top answerer because you have not devoted your every waking minute toward attaining that goal.
