Marie is not a good dancer. Shouldn't your morals dictate you vote for the best? Helio and Julianne or Mel and Maks.

They support her merely because she's Mormon. No other reason.

People who vote is reality shows (especially dance ones) aren't voting for who they think is the best dancer, it's nothing more than a glorified popularity contest.

The British show which DWTS is based on (named "Strictly Come Dancing") never has the best dancers reaching the final. Last series (number four) did have the best dancer winning as did Series one, but the other two are suspect.

The current series has seen some of the strongest dancers go out and certain weaker dancers remain in.

LOL

why do you assume we do?

My non-Mormon in-laws asked me at Thanksgiving, "So I guess your voting for Marie Osmond on DWTS?"

To which my response was:

1. I don't watch nor care for DWTS
2. Why would I vote for a dancer based on religion

I swear the religious bigotry on this site is mind boggling.

That certainly is a judgmental value statement on whether someone is a good dancer or not. Are we now getting so hypercritical that it becomes an issue who you vote for in a reality show? Sigh

Hey, I'm not a mormon, but i think Marie Osmond is doing just fine. AND, do you belong to a church? Would the people from your church support you if YOU were on DWTS?
Well, then........... why would her church not support her? And as an FYI, i think she is doing just fine. Leave Marie Osmond alone.
♥
And, why did you post this in R&S? This isn't a religious question. Religious beliefs have nothing to do with dancing. *duih!*

Don't Mormons really have the right to support whomever they wish?

I haven't seen her dance, but M.O. has always been popular and well-liked (even though her singing is so-so)

I'm a LDS Mormon,

Frankly, I have better things to do than watch somebody dance on TV, so your assumption is really off base.

Hate to break the news to you, but WE DON'T!!! It's her country music fan base that is supporting her, NOT US!!! I've been voting for Mel C (Scarey Spice).

PS: I'm not voting for Mitt Romney either because i KNOW his POLITICAL views and disagree with them.

Only Mormons vote for her? Then there are more Mormons than we thought.

I'm not a Mormon and I don't watch DWTS. However, I have noticed that your question really brought out the prejudices and bigotry that some have for other religions. And to think that they call themselves Christians. What hypocrites!
