I bought these back in Sept. at Lenscrafters. I paid almost 500 bucks. So the lenses are scotchguard etc. I noticed that I have small cracks at the edges of my glasses. My glasses are plastic. I plan to call them regarding this problem, but before I open my mouth, what should I not do?
Oh and I was my glasses with soap and water like they said with the lense cloth.

this is not an uncommon problem-I've seen in where I work too- it could be the lenses are defective- I would call and talk to the manager of the location you bought your glasses and explain that they need to make this right.

If you have cracks after only two months, this is a manufacturing fault and they should be covered under warranty.

Unless there is obvious signs of abuse ie looks like a car ran over them, then replacement should be free and I doubt if they will give you any hassle. Don't call, they will need to see the lenses so just drop in and show them.

Thing not to do is to yell, scream, call them idiots, demand replacement, accuse them of shoddy workmanship etc etc.

Just show up and pleasantly say you have noticed some cracks on your 2 month old glasses and would like them fixed.

500 dollars! Shame on you! Shop around! Check prices of several opticals before you buy. Sounds like you got a defective product.

Take them back and accuse them of selling a bad product. One thing though wait until the store is full of prospective customers, then yell and scream! i PAID $500 FOR THESE AND THEY ARE JUST JUNK!

Replace them free or I will tell all my friends and pass out flyers not to shop here!

Going a little far perhaps but I just hate people who give out shoddy products!

yOu have a "warranty" as such. You will have to pay about $250 to get them fixed "under warranty" Just tell them you feel it is a manufacturer defect and that they should not have cracked and that you feel they should be replaced free of charge. They are in it for the money, not so much to take care of you as a patient. You are a forehead with a $ sign on it. Stand up for yourself nicely and you should get it taken care of correctly. but be aware that they are penalized for remakes so they will try to not do it for you for free.
