see if you have an urgent care in your area, they charge the same as a regular doctor visit instead of the emergency room fee. They are often open all night or much later than the OR
Good luck to you. Also Sinus headache pills will help dry up the nose. But blood etc, indicates a pretty bad infection so you do need to get antibiotics . Good luck to you

Just because you don't have a doctor doesn't mean you have to go to the emergency room.
Call a Dr's office and ask for an appointment as a NEW patient. You might have to wait 2 weeks, but looks like you have already been waiting for nothing.
In the meantime, buy something that will dry up your nose. Claratin. CVS has it, you don't need a prescription. I don't know what kind of OTC meds you are already taking, but they must not be working. You can always talk to the pharmacist at the window- they can make OTC drug recommendations.
ALSO- grow up, and blow your damn nose at your desk. Just keep really good quality tissues right beside you, and make sure you waste basket is easy to reach.
Also- buy a hand sanitizer, such as purell with a pump, so you can squirt your hands clean, and get right back to work.
But, that is only a temp solution. You need to get into a real doctor.

All the OTC things you are taking are only drying out your nose and making it bleed. The best natural method I know of addressing the sinus infection you must have is buying a good nasal rinse bottle w/packets of saline solution (#1) and using Grapefruit See Extract (GSE) drops (add 8 drops into the nasal solution) and rinse. The GSE is a natural bacterial killer (same as antibiotics, but no prescription and it won't kill your body). Do this 2x (once in the morning, and once when you get home - not before bedtime as your nose tends to drain & leak). You'll need a lot of soft tissues, A & D ointment to apply to the skin around your nose, otherwise, they'll be red, and lots of hot liquids to drink: soups, broths, teas (no milk or milk products) as that tends to form more mucous which you don't need). Also buy several nasal sprays (GSE) to use when you're blowing your nose at work. It will keep the bacteria down so that you won't spread it around. If you can get a container of Purell for work, keep using it whenever you blow your nose to clean it, you're all set. Should take you at least a week to clear up most of your symptom. If you feel your nose getting better, no yellow mucous, only clear, take 4 drops of GSE in your nasal rinse bottle. Use only bottled water, not tap.
You can't dry it up as it is the way your body gets rid of the toxic debris from the cold/flu/infection. If you dry it up, it doesn't go away and will come back.

Honey, the truth is that you need a doctor. You could have walking pneumonia- and that stuff kills. I doubt your aunt would be happy with that.
Have you tried chicken soup or hot tea with lemon and honey? If nothing else, it will help you feel less miserable.
I can understand why you wouldn't really want to take the time, with a new job. But being sick would interfere with your effectiveness even more than taking the time to get well- not to mention you won't be spreading whatever you have to your co-workers.
Feel better.

I will be serious. It is your decisions and risks has to be made.I won't tell you what to do because you are concerned about your aunt's reputation. What about the sake of your health? Are you willing to suffer and find out later you should have it treated long time ago. Talk with your aunt and see what she thinks and you should share with her what you just stated in here. We live short lives. Treasure it and take care of your body like a jewel!
Good luck!

sorry to be so late---been lagging on the net stuff---
if yer stil suffering
believe it or not, ceyenne pepper cures a lot of this stuff. Boil up some brown rice, 1 part rice, 2 parts water---add rice to water, bring to boil, reduce heat to very low, simmer or 35 minutes. Add cooked chicken, parmesan cheese, cover, let sit for 5 minutes. Add a whole bunch of ceyenne pepper, stir, cover, let sit. That'll probably do ya.

sounds like a big allergy, take it from one who has them. Try tylenol severe sinus allergy, they are green and yellow like a M&M, they do not mess your head up or make you tired. You will see improvement in about 1-2 hours, by the time you take the second dose, you are feeling 90% better!

see a doctor - a cough that lasts a MONTH - that is serious... it could be allergies - Vitamin C is an immune booster and has really helped me with my allergies - try taking 1 gram three/day - your body doesn't store Vitamin C - so totally safe, and dirt cheap

3 Causes Found for Kids' Chronic Cough
Allergy, Acid Reflux, and Asthma Are Leading Suspects in Most Cases, Study Shows
Oct. 2007 -- Doctors in Louisiana have identified three leading causes of chronic cough in children.
Those chronic cough causes are:
· Allergy
· Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) ( Allergy ? )
· Asthma ( which is really “ Allergic “ Asthma )
That's according to Dean Edell, MD, MPH, and colleagues at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La.
They did thorough checkups on 40 children (average age: 9) with chronic cough (cough lasting more than eight weeks).
None of the children had been born prematurely or exposed to tobacco smoke. The kids got chest X-rays and various medical tests, including allergy and lung function tests.
Edell's team concluded that allergy, GERD, or asthma "are likely to account" for chronic cough in 90% of the children with chronic cough that they studied.
Those three conditions -- allergy, GERD, and asthma -- may be a good starting point for treating children with chronic cough, according to Edell and colleagues.
They presented their findings today in Chicago at CHEST 2007, the annual international scientific meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians.
