There is no science that can prove or disprove God. I'm equally annoyed, whenever science is used for something that it cannot do.

Trying to prove or disprove God with science is like trying to adjust your attitude with a screwdriver.

Yes i hates it, i happen to hold an A GCSE for science and i find that the very few times that someone displays scientific evidence it can be seen through by even my limited knowledge, and dont get me started on those who claim scientific evidence and then obviously know nothing about science at all
PS i is a Christian

Science can't disprove God the same as believers can't prove he exists.
Science can only explore what already is.
Scientists never create anything but only can use the
Creator's given intelligence to identify what IT has created.
The big bang theory is only the latest one to come along.
Believers attribute human characteristics to God and thus must take it upon themselves to shield him from disrespect.
This is where it gets sticky. This desire to protect God from the disrespect of others as seen by the believers seems to be at the bottom of this whole thing.
IMO believers take it as a personal affront that anyone should dare to disagree with them. Believers put their whole basis of their beliefs in a book written by men and named the Bible.
So why is the Bible more important that the Koran or Book of Mormon or the writings of Buddha??

Nobody who understands the processes of science actually says this. Science is concerned with the observation of the material world, religion is not. What science can do is provide explanations and theories for things for which religion has competing ideas too. Mainstream and mature religions no longer seek to explain the mechanisms of the material world, and few, even in the domain of religious belief, give much credence to such groups as biblical fundamentalists who seek to explain the material world in literal biblical terms.

However, despite it being repeated over and again, it is simply untrue that one 'cannot prove the non-existence of something' (sometimes phrased as 'you can't prove a negative').

You can. It is a standard mode of proof in mathematics and logic (e.g. proof by contradiction). For example, I can prove absolutely that there exists nowhere in the universe a machine capable of solving the Halting Problem, and furthermore that it cannot exist. At the most trivial level, I can prove that there is no Colt 45 in my pocket, simply by turning out my pockets. You can prove a negative, and you can prove a non-existence.

Science has nothing to do with God or religion. Science attempts to understand the universe, the world, our bodies, our brain, etc. It is focused on what we know exists through evidence available to us. There are theories and laws. Religion has its place in that it seeks to explain the whys. Why are we here? What is our purpose?

science doesn't disprove god. what it does is explain natural phenomena without invoking supernatural forces. when you find me something that can't be explained through science then i'll consider the existence of a god.

It doesn't really annoy me; God is supernatural and therefore beyond the realms of science, so it can neither prove or disprove God.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

If someone states 'science disproves god' then they are an idiot.

You can't prove the non-existance of something.

Science attempts to give natural explanations to phenomena. It is not really concerned with supernatural explanations.
