You can drive as soon as you feel comfortable as long as your stitches are out. My friend was driving the day after her stitches got taken out.

Wait until your doctor tells you that it's OK to drive.
You'll still be prone to feeling weak (especially when you add spending nights with a crying baby into the equation) and you may not be able to concentrate on the road. Plus, any sudden stops may leave you in pain if your torso moves forward fast when you hit the brakes. If the air bag blows up, and your cut has not healed, you can start bleeding from the impact.
So, please wait until a medical professional says that it's ok to get back on the road.

I wasn't allowed to drive for 3 weeks after my c section but it was 4 weeks before i actually drove. I hated depending on someone for a lift but i wasn't ready yet.

My doctor told me that I could drive after the staples came out, which was 3 weeks post, but not to go long distances, and to be very careful, that if i got into an accident it could be dangerous because my insicion could open up.

took me 8 weeks. it hurt to sit straight upright
i know a girl who after her second was driving in about 2 weeks she bounced back fast she only drove very short distances
your supposed to wait 6 weeks, driving to soon after surgery isnt the issue its what could happen should you be driving and get in an accident, the steering wheel can crash into you and rip your incision open be careful and wait the 6 weeks at least it wont kill you

I misbehaved and drove after a week. My incision was tiny, and I am tiny so it made healing much quicker. Also, my doc used glue so I didn't have stitiches!
I should say I drove only a very short distance and am not encouraging you to do the same.
