This is just a basic question but I really am going to need one soon. Also, is there a website that I can view to purchase a gun online legally? And do permits cost anything?? How long do they last and what are the requirements behind them? Lastly, What are the requirements for owning a concealed weapon??

The ONLY way you can just "buy a gun online" is if you are a FLL or C&R (Federal Firearms License dealer or Curio & Relic collector).
There are websites where you can purchase a gun, but it will still have to be shipped to your nearest FFL for legal transfer.
CCW permits, requirements, and costs will vary state-to-state. Contact your local police or sheriff's dept. There is almost always a course and certification you must have before getting a CCW.

Every state has different regulations as far as concealed weapon permits and concealed weapons. The age to own a handgun is 21 years old. This is a federal law. Check with your local town office for more information.

Here we go to the Sheriffs Office and fill out a standard form that will cost you $10.00. They will run a very strong background check on you and if all is good it is sent to the State Treasurers Office for a signature. It's good for 3 years or until you commit a crime, if that happens an officer will be by to get it from you. Then you go gun shopping and find what fills your needs, fill out a BATF-E 4473 followed by a waiting period for a background check by the FBI. Pick up your gun, lots of different types of ammo and go to the range and practice.

requirements vary from state to state.. so that depends on where you live... same goes for a concealed carry permit... some states they are easy some not...
As for buying a gun online... I might suggest www.gunbroker.com its like ebay for guns. The only caveat is that you will have to have a ffl to buy it yourself otherwise they give you a list of ffl holders where you live so that you can have them take delivery of the and then transfer it to you.

you do not need a permit to hunt...you can buy a shotgun or rifle because they are not concealed but for a pistol permit you must go to your town hall or county clerk and write letters and get signatures...you also must never go to jail....it takes a month or two for this to happen but it will last your lifetime unless you go to jail. the concealed weapon is a pistol permit...there is diffrent levels of pistol permit...hunting and fishing...hiking...all times...those are some

Ok, firstly in the UK you are NOT allowed to own a handgun so that answers the concealed weapon part. You are allowed to own a shotgun or rifle for hunting or target shooting as a member of a registered shooting club.
The licence for both types of weapons cost £50 and is valid for 5 years. You need to apply at your local police station and an in-depth back ground check is carried out as part of the application. You will also require a number of references from professional people to complete your application and then there is a few weeks processing time, if they find nothing unusual with the application.
