Here are some very interesting facts and figures about poultry. Oh heck, I forgot that you can't look them up because your computer is down, even though you can ask these questions and read the answers.. An interesting fact all by itself.

This variety is rare and unusual. Imagine a rich, brilliant red plumage color combined with a graceful carriage, sweeping tail, white ear lobes, and yellow shanks and toes. This is another fine variety for showing. The hens lay a tinted white egg and are practically non-setters. Chicks are a reddish brown and many have darker specks and markings on the back. Try some of these handsome birds for an interesting and beautiful addition to your flock.

If you don't have access to a working computer and your project is due tomorrow, then you are probably out of luck.
The American Poultry Association
has a book "American Standard of Perfection"
which describes the various breeds of poultry.
Their history, genetics, description, weight, meat/egg characteristics etc.
Also hatcheries:
Ideal, Privett.
websites:
The Poultry Site, ALBC, the Henderson Chart and others
Descriptions of the industrial chicken breeds
layers and meat birds can be viewed on company websites.
e.g. Hubbard, Hyline, Ross.
You need to talk to your teachers and leaders if you fear failing the class. ASAP!
Admit to them any weaknesses/poor habits/stress etc.,
if you are aware of them.
Ask them what it would take to correct/help/improve yourself as a person, academically etc.
They will likely be nice about it, sympathetic and willing to look out for you.

Poultry has many uses, I like it marinated in orange juice, honey, Jack Daniels and then grilled. Yum!
