Hello,
The price of brown egg is about $1.00 more expensive than the regular one- by one dozen in California- Is it worth money to buy the brown egg?
Thank you for your answers!
Have a nice day

From the nutritional point of view, both are the same.

People believed that brown eggs were more nutritious -that is the reason behind the higher price- but science has proved that the color does not matter regarding to nutrients. There is no need to buy the more expensive ones.

There is a commercial here in New England and it goes "Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh". So funny. In CA they are more expensive because they are shipped from here perhaps. They are no more expensive here. Although at Easter time the white ones are more expensive because of demand for colored eggs. Interesting.

There is no nutritional difference only a taste difference. The brown eggs tend to be richer and more flavorful than white.

No. The eggs are just from different breeds of chickens.
