If there is a problem with the product, do you need to go back to the airport to exchange it?

I've bought a few items from different electronic shops in duty-free shopping areas in airports before, and have saved probably 40% on what I've seen those items for selling in local stores for the items I bought. You need to be sure you have a worldwide warranty (if purchased outside your country), that way you can use the manufacturer's service center anywhere in the world if the product is defective. If you do need to make an exchange, you most likely will have to return to the shop in the airport where you bought the item, just like you would any purchase from any store. Just choose carefully should you decide to buy in an airport, especially a foreign one.

If there is a problem with the product, there should be a warranty slip right inside the box of the product you bought it from. If you live right around the airport and where you bought it,,, you can exchange it if you want. Although the catch is that you're gonna need a boarding pass to get through the TSA. So in other words,, it's nearly impossible to return it to the same store that you got it from.....

Check the warranty slip in the box... There should be instructions there on where to send it and how you could get a replacement for it.

The question that needs to be asked is: why would you even want to do buy something like that in an airport? It's very unlikely that they would be offering any kind of a deal in such a captive environment. If it happens to be something unique, that you couldn't buy anywhere else (not likely), or if you simply couldn't find it anywhere else, ask the clerk what the situation is for returns or exchanges, and use that info for deciding whether it would be a smart move.

Maybe you can send the product to the manufacturer's service center, if there is one.

if you need electronics, you should buy the item from a place that has reasonable prices, like Best Buy or Fry's.

Would you go to a shoe store to buy bread?
