By all accounts the Holocaust had already begun by then... so justified.

I realize that you are an atheist, so the following will not make sense, but what you suggest could not have happened. Even if you built a time machine, and went back, even to the day of his birth, what happened in the holocaust would have still taken place. This was foretold over three thousand years ago. I know, laugh all you want, but its right there in black and white. Anyway the holocaust had to take place in order for there to be such a great outcry of shame and sorrow for the nations of the world to 'reform' the nation of Israel, just as they did in 1947? I think? Gods word is very clear, 'In the span of one day, my people, my nation Israel will be reborn, and I will call my remnant from all nations to come home" These words are NOT verbatim. But the context is what counts. Over three thousand years ago, God told the Jewish people, your nation will be destroyed, that happened in 72 AD, when the Romans destroyed the city of Jerusalem, and sold off all survivors as slaves. He also told them that he would preserve a remnant until the end that has happened. The nation would be 'born in a day' that has happened. The people would be called back from every nation, that has happened.
The entire world would be calling "peace peace” We see that happening today, don't we. Do you care to know what is coming next? So you see no matter what anyone could have or would have, or should have done, it would not have changed what had to be.

This question is impossible to answer. How was he killed? Murder by the legal definition? What degree - first degree murder, second degree etc.? Was self-defense involved? Is this only a political enemy, or killing as an act of war? Who and what determines the justification? How do you define justified?
Your question is full of too many loopholes to answer thoughtfully or honestly.
But in the vaguest broadest of terms - killing someone, the taking of another human life is always wrong - abortion, death penalty, war, murder, involuntary manslaughter, etc.
But sometimes we just need to fall down on our knees and thank God for His mercy - God, who knows the hearts of man - and hope and pray the grace of Jesus Christ will be sufficient.

That's a tough one.
Under the circumstances, perhaps it would have been justified. However, Germany was prone for someone like Hitler. If it hadn't been him, I'm sure it would have been someone else, and maybe that someone else would have been even worse.
Also, it was Hitler's actions that at least indirectly led to Israel becoming a sovereign nation, which was a direct fulfillment of a Biblical prophecy.

Well ..Considering that by ending his life you would save the lives of over 6 million people, what would you think .
Is defending the Lives of 6 million people a sin ? providing you lived in 1939 and could know what we know today ?
I would Kill Him..Only If I had absolute knowldege of what he was going to do (Seeing the Future) But that question is in of itself a paradox

Murder; killing can only be justified within the law. Hitler's crimes were capital offences which deserved death but until he'd committed them he couldn't be sentenced.

It would have been murder and it would have been unjustified.
It is also a moot point. He lived, he wasn't murdered, he created a monstrous regime, he built a war machine, he started the war, and he slaughtered millions aside from the millions of the holocaust.
The German society allowed him to rise to power and they followed him into hell. It happened. There is nothing we can do about it.

As lame as your questions are, you think you would stop asking them. So add this to your details:
How is this R&S?
What does this have to do with Christians specifically?
If you are truly an athiest, start directing your questions to ALL religions with a supernatural power. Thanks.
To answer your question: It doesn't matter, Hitler killed himself at the near end of WW2. Good hypothetical nothing of a question though.

You mean going back in time and killing a mass murderer just before he actually starts killing people.
Besides a nice plot for several Sci-Fi stories.
Technically, still murder. Fairly difficult to say otherwise since only the traveller would be the only one who knows what the murderer was going to do.
Even worse since it is difficult to say, for sure, what a person is going to do in the future, even if a person from that future is there to attest to it. YOu cannot say, with 100% assurance what a person will do in the future, especially since the potential to change the future exists (with your killing him)
