My little buddy who is a peekapoo has been rubbing his butt alot for the last month. He has been to the vet twice once to check his anal glands but right after he came home he started pivoting again. The second time the vet put him on medication but that didn't work and know they are talking about that he might be allergic to the food he has been eating for the last 8 years. The pivoting comes and goes and at times he cries and his anus is red. They checked for fleas and he was ok. We have another peekapoo and she is a female around 9 years old and no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated since it hurts to see him suffer.
Thanks

Nu Vet is great! Your dogs' problem has nothing to do with NuVet.............

It may be the food the dog is eating.

sorry your dog is not feeling well. The vet should be able to work with you to figure something out.

Hi gary s,
It's nice to see that you have made a good effort with the vet to try and get this problem resolved.
I don't want to be dis-respectul to vets but they don't know everything - how could they possibly do so?
So, why not get another opinion from a different vet? Humans do it all the time.

Keep working with the vet. Clearly this is a complicated problem, and that's what vets are there to help with, among many things.

Have you checked him for worms? The bum-scooting that you describe can be a sign of a worm infestation
