What breed of dog is sprocket in fraggle rock?

If I go by the picture I would say he is a schnauzer with out his tail docked . He has the color and the beard and eyebrows

Hes a sheepdog-ish mutt.
When I was a kid, there was a dog in my town that looked completely identical to Sprocket, and thats what his owners named him. Everyone would laugh when they saw him, because he looked so much like him. He was a mix of some kind, he wasn't a purebred dog.
The sad part of this story is when my mom was driving in the neighborhood where Sprocket lived, my she ran him over. I guess that she didn't slow down at the right time. I recall the kids that were standing in their yard yelling "Sprocket!!!"
Every time we happen to see the Fragile Rock show when we're flipping through the channels while I visiting at my parents house, that story comes up, thats why I remember it so well even though I was around 5 years old when it happened.

I remember that dog!

He looks just like our first Mini Schnauzer, Fritz. It's probably a shot at some sort of terrier breed. If you want something that looks like this go with Schnauzers or Scotties.

It's a mix of a "mutt" and a "puppet".
They call them "muppets".
